There are pieces you buy for one season, and pieces that stay in the wardrobe for years. The difference is almost never the model: it's the fabric, and the way it's been sewn.
We've been making women's clothing in Florence since 1993: dresses, blouses, gilets, trench coats and duster coats in silk, linen, cotton and microfibre, each chosen for what it can do on the body. These are pieces designed to combine with one another and to change function depending on how you wear them — the same dress worn alone in summer, under a trench coat in autumn. Made in Italy not as a label, but as an address: we've been in Tuscany for over thirty years, and every piece is born here.
Dresses: From Everyday to Sophisticated
The Gipsy Dress in turquoise is the lightest piece in the collection: flowing, soft, made for summer and for those who want freedom of movement.
The long silk dresses — Panorama and the black model, with worked necklines — are the ones that change the most depending on how you style them: a belt and a different jacket are enough to take them from day to evening. Those who prefer simpler lines will find the cotton dresses, where the work lies in the details: geometric patterns, delicate embroidery, light flounces.
None of these is a one-time-only piece. They're worn with a gilet, under a safari jacket, or on their own.
The Art of Layering
It's the in-between pieces that multiply a wardrobe's possibilities, more than the main pieces do.
The embroidered gilets add a third layer without bulk, and work as well over a simple blouse as over a dress. The Alcantara trench coats, in tan and dark brown, are the piece that carries a summer dress through into autumn. The long duster coats weigh almost nothing and mainly serve to shape the silhouette: they lengthen, they cover, they don't constrict.
Noble Fabrics, Consciously Chosen
Every fabric in the collection is chosen for a precise reason, and the reasons differ.
Silk is temperature-regulating: it stays cool when it's hot and doesn't chill when the temperature drops. It's the fabric of the long dresses, and it calls for care when washing but little day-to-day maintenance.
Linen and cottons are the foundation of the summer pieces: they breathe, soften with every wash and hold up to daily use without losing their shape.
Microfibre is the choice for lightweight outerwear. It isn't leather and doesn't try to be: it's soft to the touch, resistant to water and creasing, and needs far less care than a natural fabric. On a trench coat that has to sit in a bag and come out looking presentable, it's simply the material that works best.
Colours: From Neutral to Considered
Black, beige, cream and white form the base: they combine with each other and with anything you already own.
Alongside them are the colours that add character. Turquoise stays fresh without feeling seasonal. Earth green is a shade that suits almost every skin tone and never grows tiresome. Florentine red is our nod to Tuscan tradition, meant as an accent on a neutral base, not as the star of the outfit.
These are colours chosen to last in a wardrobe, not for a shop window.
